Five Australian universities have made the top 50 in the QS World University Rankings.
Australian National University is the country's top-ranked institution in equal 29th place. University of Melbourne took 38th place, the University of Sydney, 42, the University of NSW, 43, and the University of Queensland, at 47.
Total of seven universities have made in the top 100 – including Monash University (58) and the University of Western Australia (86).
The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings is an annual publication if university rankings comprised of global overall and subject rankings. It is the most-widely read university raking in the world.
